JAKARTA—Ajang MTV Movie Awards baru saja digelar di Gibson Amphitheatre, Los Angeles, Amerika Serikat pada Minggu (3/6) waktu setempat.

Penghargaan yang diadakan rutin tiap tahun ini cukup unik, karena memiliki beberapa kategori yang tak biasa, seperti Best Fight, Best Kiss, dan Best Comedic Performance. Pialanya pun juga unik karena berbentuk popcorn berwarna emas.

Tahun ini, ajang MTV Movie Awards dipandu komedian Russell Brand yang sebelumnya pernah menjadi pembawa acara di MTV Video Music Awards. Film yang merajai MTV Movie Awards kali ini adalah The Hunger Games yang mendapat sembilan nominasi dan memenangkan empat di antaranya.
